Sephora Haul

Sephora had their 15% off sale last week.  I went in to stock up on some old favorites.  Instead I left with a bag full of new faves.

I’m obsessed with having dark thick eyebrows and needed to replace my eyebrow pencil and brow gel.  I like to use the pencil when going out for a darker more dramatic look and I use the gel for my everyday look.  I tried out the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products for the first time and loved them.

Brow Pen ($21) – this is my new favorite as it gives you a very defined look and is easy to use

Tinted Brow Gel ($22) – this fills in your brows for a natural but full look

I fell in love with the Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighting Powder ($29).  It will look great this summer with a tan.

Speaking of a tan, I found a great sunless face tanner.  Dr. Dennis Gross Skin Care Alpha Beta Grow Pads ($35) gives your face a nice tan while improving the texture of your skin with alpha and beta hydroxy acids.  The girl at Sephora said to use them every other night after washing your face and to finish with your normal skin care routine.

Being that I love a long lasting lipstick I was excited to find the Too Faced Lip Insurance Lip Primer ($20).  If you apply this over your lipstick it will last all day – even through eating and drinking.

I love make-up and finding new products.  I think these will be great additions to my make-up routine.  I hope you guys were able to score some great products from this sale as well.  I would love to hear what you got too.  XOXO Michelle

Tops to Update Your Spring/Summer Wardrobe

You can really spice up your spring/summer wardrobe by adding some new on trend tops.  You can wear these tops with your existing bottoms for some fresh new looks.

Nordstrom ($22) – I love how this top has a sewn-in side tuck that makes it very flattering.  It is definitely more special than a basic top.

Nordstrom ($35) – Everyone needs a cold shoulder top in their spring/summer wardrobe.  This one is in a flattering silhouette and a good price point.  It also comes in a pretty light purple color.

Loft ($45 – on sale right now) – This top is very trendy but can be worn with everything.  I especially like it with some colorful crop pants or a pretty printed skirt.

Banana Republic ($58 plus an additional 40% off right now) – This is one of the cutest blue striped shirts I have seen.  I love the origami like ruffles.  Like all the shirts in this post it is basic enough to go with a lot of things but special enough to make an outfit pop.

Nordstrom ($35) – I love the choker top trend.  This is such a pretty color and will look great with shorts or jeans for a night out.

You don’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe every season.  By adding in some new on trend pieces you can totally freshen up your looks.  XOXO Michelle

Fresh Florals

Florals are one of the biggest trends of the season.  A lot of us either don’t like florals or are scared to wear them.  In this post I am going to give you examples of how to wear the trend without it wearing you.

Loft Blazer ($128) – this blazer is a great way to wear the floral trend.  It can be worn casually as shown or dressed up for work.

Loft Shorts ($50) – I went to Loft this week and loved their new spring collection.  I tried on the above shorts and the below top and loved this look.

Loft Top ($55)

Loft Scarf ($20) – a floral scarf is a great way to be on trend and add some interest to your outfit.  This one is pink so you’ll be working the pink trend as well.  You can also wear these scarves around your wrist or as a choker.  I think wearing these scarves with a simple t-shirt is so chic.

ASOS Top ($61) – this top with the below pants is such a beautiful outfit and so on trend with the floral top and the blush pants.

Old Navy Pants ($35 normal price – 40% off right now)

ASOS Shoes ($43) – I love these shoes.  They definitely have a Gucci vibe and would look amazing with a t-shirt and jeans.

These are some great ideas of how to wear florals in a more unexpected and chic way.  I hope you all have a great week and enjoy the warmer weather by wearing something floral.  XOXO Michelle

Why I am Obsessed with ASOS

ASOS ($49)

Hi – my name is Michelle and I have an ASOS obsession.  ASOS is great place to shop for all of the latest trends.  Their shoes are good quality and comfortable.  Their clothes are also good quality and fit true to size.  It’s hard not to have an ASOS obsession with their free shipping, free returns, no sales tax, low prices, and quality merchandise.  These are some of the reasons for my obsession.

TOPS:

ASOS ($52) – this is one of the cutest cold shoulder tops I have seen.

ASOS ($49) – I also love this cold shoulder top and would wear this with light distressed jeans.  If you are looking for some cute shoes to go with this outfit check out my post “Wear Now – Wear Later” from February  27th.  I featured two pairs of sandals and both are now on sale.

ASOS ($44) – wear this with white jeans and the sandals I mentioned above.  If you want a good white jean option I love the ones from my February 23rd post “Finds of the Week.”  As a bonus they are currently on sale.

DRESSES/ROMPERS:

ASOS ($46) – the A-line cut and off shoulder ruffle make this dress very cute and flattering

ASOS ($23) – this is definitely one of the best rompers I have found.  I appreciate the longer length and love the lace detailing.  I think this would be really cute with a longer length cardigan on chilly evenings.

ASOS ($49) – this dress has an interesting style and a flattering A-line cut

SHOES / ACCESSORIES:

ASOS ($38) – these will brighten up an outfit and will look great with the sundresses featured in this post

ASOS ($28) – I am loving the Bohemian vibe of these statement earrings

ASOS ($19)  – lastly are a couple clutches that will be fun additions to your summer wardrobe
